How to add Social Bookmark buttom to Blogger Blog

1.First you need to register a free account with add This

 

2.Once you supply a user name,email address,password and your blogger blog address sign up is just easy.

3. After sign up is confirmed just Click on Get Your Button.This will take you to create your button page.

4. On the Create Your Button page you will be ask to make some selections about your social bookmark button.


What Kind of Button?Select Sharing/Bookmark Button

What Look?Choose any of the 6 Button choice as Shown below

Where?Select on a Blog

At this point the information enter should look like the picture below

Once you are sure that you have enter the correct information Click on the Get Your Code Button and you will be taken to Get Your Code page.


5.From the Get Your Code page you will be given the option to preview your button.if you like preview if you don't move on to step 6.

6.Now after getting the code for your Add This Social Bookmarking you will need to decide where to position it on your Blogger Blog.You either place them at side bar or beneath each post.

If you place your code Beneath each post of your Blogger Blog this is what you should do


Click on Blog post Button option
Highlight the java script Supplied by Add This
Copy the code to the clipboard of your computer using Ctrl + C
command
In a new window open your Blogger Blog and sign in.Navigate to Layout>Edit HTML do not forget to back up your template.

Once the you back up your template tick on the Expand Widget Template check box

Now use the Ctrl + F command to open the toolbar which will appear at the button of your page while using Blogger.

Now Highlight the following code using Ctrl + C command copy and paste the code into the search box on the toolbar at the Button of the Blogger.This action will quickly locate the code for you in Blogger Template.You will now place the code immediately before this Tags.



Return to Add This and Highlight the JavaScript button code supplied,copy the code to your clipboard using Ctrl + C command.

Reopen the Blogger window and place the cursor right before the tag that you located earlier.

Paste the JavaScript Code from the Add This into the template using the Ctrl + V command

Click on Save Template

Now follow the Add This automated by clicking on the Add the menu to my Blog button.This will place an Add This Social Bookmark button in  widget in your sidebar as shown on this side.
